About The Position

OTC is hiring a Compressor Technician to service customers in the Greater Charlotte Area within its Distribution business. The role involves hands-on work with compressed air systems and other rotating equipment, troubleshooting customer issues, and helping improve equipment reliability and efficiency. OTC offers ongoing technical training and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachability and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-craft experience.
• Experience servicing rotary screw, oil-free, and/or oil-flooded air compressors.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify and sell repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintain compliance.
• Keep the service vehicle stocked with tools and parts.
• Respond to urgent and emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
