About The Position
OTC Industrial Technologies is hiring a Compressor Technician to service compressed-air systems and related rotating equipment in the Charlotte area. The position involves hands-on customer service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance work, with ongoing training and opportunities for technical and career development. The role includes a company-provided service vehicle, operational support, and potential additional earnings through spiff programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
- Coachable and eager to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Experience servicing rotary screw, oil-free, and/or oil-flooded air compressors is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
- Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Identify and sell repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain compliance.
- Keep the service vehicle stocked with tools and parts.
- Respond to urgent and emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
- Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
- Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
