About The Position

This Mechanical Technician I or II position assists in the maintenance of one or more compressors, with responsibility for the compressor packages and equipment. The role provides feedback regarding the operation of compressor packages and supports the planning and organization of preventive maintenance and other maintenance activities. The technician must have at least entry-level diagnostic and repair skills and may assist mechanics at other field locations.

Requirements

Caterpillar engine experience is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of compression process, production and equipment-related experience and/or training.
Some knowledge of gas processes and motor-driven compressors.
Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Basic knowledge of compressor packages, components and systems.
Working knowledge of applicable safety procedures and regulations.
Mechanical aptitude and analytical, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate teamwork, self-motivation, self-control and initiative.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record within the acceptable parameters of company policy.

Nice To Haves

Waukesha engine experience is highly preferred.
Ariel compressor experience is highly preferred.
OEM training, trade school or comparable work experience in a related field or industry is preferred.
