About The Position

Seneca Foods Corporation’s Glencoe, MN facility, is currently seeking Compressor Room Mechanic to join our team. In Glencoe, we do it all! We have a full time Labeling department, Frozen Corn on the Cob Packaging department, Field Reps to meet with local growers, and many Mechanics who make it possible to run a successful production! The Glencoe facility focuses on primarily Canning and Freezing, Peas, Lima Beans, Sweet Corn and Carrots. Our Peak Production season typically starts mid-June and wraps up mid-November.

Requirements

Must have good attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication skills.
Good mechanical repair and trouble shooting skills
Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment
Must be willing to attend night classes in refrigeration
Will be expected to join the emergency response team

Responsibilities

Maintaining safe operation of all freezers and refrigeration equipment
Regulating product flow to maximize freezer output and insure product quality
Repair and maintenance of all freezing related equipment, operating cold storage buildings, and perform maintenance in other areas of the plant as needed.
Tunnel Operator duties include operating freezers and compressors, performing water testing, cleaning freezers and removing ice
Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety rules/ regulations are being followed and enforced
Accurate and timely record keeping; including preparation and follow-up on issues in a timely manner
Employee relations/ supervision and training of seasonal staff in work area
Other duties as assigned
