We're seeking an experienced, patient-focused Compounding Pharmacist to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license while rotating through multiple areas of our independent pharmacy, including prescription verification, dispensing, provider collaboration, clinical services, and compounding operations. Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
  • Active, unrestricted South Carolina Pharmacist License
  • Immunization certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Minimum of two (2) years of pharmacist experience in a retail, community, or independent pharmacy setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
  • Independent pharmacy experience
  • Experience with Pharmetika software
  • Familiarity with USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards
  • Experience providing MTM services
  • Strong provider communication and collaborative patient care experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient counseling and medication education
  • Perform prospective drug utilization reviews and identify therapy concerns
  • Conduct final prescription verification and ensure medication accuracy
  • Administer immunizations in accordance with state regulations
  • Perform Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services
  • Collaborate with providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Assist patients with over-the-counter product recommendations and healthcare guidance
  • Support data entry, dispensing, and prescription workflow activities
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substance accountability, and regulatory recordkeeping
  • Contribute to operational initiatives and performance goals
  • Review and verify compounded prescriptions for safety and appropriateness
  • Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded preparations
  • Communicate with prescribers regarding formulation recommendations and prescription clarifications
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and laboratory compliance
  • Assist with development and review of formulations and SOPs
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
