The Phoenix, AZ location, is a fast-paced compounding pharmacy with a dynamic and energetic team of individuals. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist for our Closed Door Pharmacy. This position will utilize his/her skills and experiences to uphold pharmacy standards for counseling, dispensing, record keeping and quality assurance programs. A pharmacist will be able to demonstrate leadership by coaching and mentoring pharmacy team members.

Requirements

  • Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Manual dexterity
  • Adequate vision for tasks assigned
  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Compounding experience preferred.
  • Experience with PCAB accreditation preferred.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret vets orders for appropriateness to ensure that overdoses or under-doses have not been prescribed and that interactions, incompatibilities or toxic compounds will not result from combination of medications.
  • Will dispense prescriptions to pets in accordance with policy and in conformance with regulations and laws dealing with the class of prescription; counsels patients (pet owners) about their medications and maintains an accurate, up to date profile.
  • Verify the work performed by support personnel, which includes compounding, repackaging, and final quality assurance and PV2
  • Pharmacist will be expected to work in spaces compliant with both USP 795 and USP 800
  • The ability to focus on tasks and quickly complete them is important to being efficient in this role
