The Phoenix, AZ location, is a fast-paced compounding pharmacy with a dynamic and energetic team of individuals. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist for our Closed Door Pharmacy. This position will utilize his/her skills and experiences to uphold pharmacy standards for counseling, dispensing, record keeping and quality assurance programs. A pharmacist will be able to demonstrate leadership by coaching and mentoring pharmacy team members.

Requirements

Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing.
Manual dexterity
Adequate vision for tasks assigned
Good hand eye coordination
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

Veterinary Compounding experience preferred.
Experience with PCAB accreditation preferred.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret vets orders for appropriateness to ensure that overdoses or under-doses have not been prescribed and that interactions, incompatibilities or toxic compounds will not result from combination of medications.
Dispense prescriptions to pets in accordance with policy and in conformance with regulations and laws dealing with the class of prescription; counsels patients (pet owners) about their medications and maintains an accurate, up to date profile.
Verify the work performed by support personnel, which includes compounding, repackaging, and final quality assurance and PV2.
Pharmacist will be expected to work in spaces compliant with both USP 795 and USP 800.
The ability to focus on tasks and quickly complete them is important to being efficient in this role.
