About The Position

The 3rd Shift Compounder I prepares production inks, quality-checks inks going to press, stages inks for upcoming orders, moves drums, and adjusts inks before press runs. The role also involves managing obsolete and overstock ink inventory, handling chemicals, maintaining ink kitchen and quality-control equipment, cleaning proofers and pumps, and performing general housekeeping. The employee uses a powered floor cleaner, may support additional ink department projects, and is expected to model safe work practices and participate in the Safety Observation process. Other duties may be assigned.

This is an hourly, full-time third-shift position at International Paper’s facility at 13307 Industrial Parkway, Marysville, Ohio. The hourly pay rate is $23.31.

Requirements

• Goal-oriented.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 90 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Make production inks.
• Perform quality control on inks going to press.
• Stage inks for upcoming orders.
• Move drums.
• Adjust inks before running on press.
• Work off obsolete and overstock ink inventory.
• Handle chemicals.
• Perform regular maintenance on ink kitchen and QC equipment.
• Clean and maintain hand and automatic proofers.
• Clean and maintain pumps and the ink kitchen.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Use a powered floor cleaner.
• Be available for additional ink department projects.
• Lead by example and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Actively participate in the Safety Observation process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
