About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program (REP), a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering obtained May 2026 and June 2027.
A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the application process.
Prior Co-Op or internship experience.
Familiarity with electrical components and characteristics.
Knowledge of electrical circuit design.
Knowledge of component data sheets.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite.
Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment.
Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or engineering concepts.
This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. Citizens.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of electronic fabrication techniques and processes such as SMT, chip and wire, hybrids, etc.
Knowledge of with the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies.
Knowledge of with the NSMAR and NSPAR forms or/and process.
Understanding of failure modes in passives and packaged active devices.
Basic knowledge or familiarity with environmental testing per MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, 38535, passive components, etc.

Responsibilities

Perform component reviews, analysis, and assessment against program compliance requirements for space and military programs.
Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to support the design/development process with component knowledge and selection.
Perform various component level obsolescence analysis to identify components going end-of-life (EOL) well in advance to ensure continuity of production.
Review component drawings and associated verification data packages.
Perform alternate part investigations and generate comparison matrices showing the differences and similarities of the parts.
Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to develop component risk and verification delineation.
Facilitate component selection and libraries application through the coordination and generation of the program Bill of Material (BOM) in a collaboration toolset.
Create, revise, and submit NSPARs for customer review and approval supporting component screening and qualification plans.
Develop and maintain appropriate reports, databases and PMP meeting agendas and minutes.
