About The Position

Under the direction of the department Sr. Regulatory Compliance Analyst, the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Benecard Companies in maintaining compliance with applicable state, federal, contractual, client, and other regulatory requirements. The Compliance Coordinator monitors regulatory developments, supports compliance oversight activities, assists with auditing and monitoring initiatives, coordinates issue resolution, and serves as an internal compliance resource for operational departments. This role supports enterprise-wide compliance efforts across pharmacy benefit management, pharmacy, vision, delegated entity oversight, Fraud, Waste and Abuse, and related business operations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS, preferred
  • Prior experience in the vision, pharmaceutical, healthcare or managed care industry a plus
  • Knowledge of vision and pharmacy benefit programs
  • Experience in Healthcare and Pharmacy Contracting a plus
  • Previous management experience working effectively with multi-functional areas.
  • Experience in Healthcare Compliance, Quality Improvement, and Regulatory Compliance
  • Prior experience in supervising or managing employees or projects

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, review, and conduct baseline interpretation of applicable state, federal, and other regulatory requirements impacting PBM, pharmacy, vision, and related company operations.
  • Summarize and disseminate regulatory updates, compliance guidance, and operational impacts to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, review, and update compliance-related materials, including policies, procedures, manuals, forms, contract support materials, regulatory summaries, and internal guidance documents.
  • Support the development, review, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies and procedures to ensure consistency with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, client requirements, and internal standards.
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and tracking potential compliance risks, and collaborate with management and operational teams to develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Review compliance issues, inquiries, and escalations from internal departments, clients, vendors, delegates, or other stakeholders; assess the underlying facts, applicable requirements, potential risks, and recommended next steps.
  • Support the intake, tracking, investigation, resolution, and documentation of compliance-related issues, including follow-up with responsible business owners to confirm timely completion of required actions.
  • Review, monitor, and assist with corrective action plans, remediation efforts, and related follow-up activities to ensure identified issues are appropriately addressed and documented.
  • Support the company’s Fraud, Waste and Abuse program, including activities related to detecting, preventing, correcting, reporting, and monitoring potential FWA issues in accordance with applicable federal, state, contractual, and internal requirements.
  • Assist with oversight of delegated entities, vendors, and business partners, including review of compliance documentation, monitoring activities, issue tracking, corrective action follow-up, and related reporting.
  • Maintain and update compliance and regulatory tracking tools to support timely identification, assignment, monitoring, and completion of applicable compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate with operational and management staff to confirm adherence to regulatory requirements, client commitments, policy obligations, and agreed-upon completion timelines.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of annual auditing and monitoring work plans, including coordination of assigned audits, monitoring activities, documentation requests, and follow-up items.
  • Support the development and maintenance of auditing and monitoring tools, standardized forms, checklists, templates, and compliance review materials.
  • Assist with identifying compliance indicators, quality measures, benchmarks, and trends that may require additional monitoring, reporting, training, or remediation.
  • Provide written and verbal compliance guidance to internal departments regarding regulatory requirements impacting the company’s products, services, clients, members, vendors, and business operations.
  • Serve as an internal compliance resource for matters involving pharmacy benefit management, pharmacy operations, vision operations, delegated entity oversight, client requirements, and related regulatory obligations.
  • Assist with the development, coordination, and delivery of compliance training, education materials, presentations, reminders, and other communication tools designed to reinforce compliance expectations enterprise-wide.
  • Arrange, coordinate, and facilitate compliance-related meetings, workgroups, and operational discussions to review regulatory issues, resolve open items, document decisions, and support implementation of required actions.
  • Monitor assigned shared mailboxes, compliance intake channels, and regulatory request queues; triage incoming requests and coordinate distribution to appropriate Compliance team members or business owners.
  • Support compliance reporting activities, including preparation of materials, summaries, dashboards, issue logs, and updates for Compliance Committee, Board Compliance Committee, senior management, clients, or other stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, reporting obligations, survey responses, client requests, regulatory audits, market conduct examinations, and other compliance-related submissions, as assigned.
  • Support product development, implementation projects, client onboarding, regulatory change management, and national compliance initiatives by identifying applicable compliance requirements and assisting with operational readiness.
  • Maintain organized records of compliance reviews, regulatory analyses, issue resolution, monitoring activities, corrective actions, training materials, and committee reporting for audit and oversight purposes.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Operations, Pharmacy, PBM, Vision, Client Services, Account Management, Sales, Information Technology, Human Resources, and other departments to support compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.
