Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Compliance Specialist for our Compliance team. This role is remote with potential travel to our main office in Lake Success, NY and/or the FreedomCare hub closest to you. Our Compliance Team is looking for a Compliance Specialist who can support the compliance department in reviewing legal documents, conducting, and responding to internal/external audits, investigating Fraud, Waste & Abuse claims. The Compliance Specialist role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities that will aid the department in maintaining regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be organized and have excellent attention to detail
  • Adept at multi-tasking
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient computer, phone knowledge
  • Experience with data input and case review
  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar position preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the healthcare field
  • Prior experience with internal and external audits

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and responding to internal and external audits for all jurisdictions
  • Completing daily reports while meeting metric requirements
  • Provide assistance with I-9 approvals
  • Assisting with conflict reporting and collaborating with our finance department
  • Legal document review
  • Investigate fraud, waste & abuse claims
  • Be a resource for escalated concerns
  • Quality assurance review
