About The Position

Schochet is looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist as a member of the company’s Compliance Department. Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience with HUD’s Project-Based Section 8 and EIV programs and the IRS Section LIHTC program required.
  • Ability to work independently, possessing a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy, organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, flexibility to work on special projects and a team player a must.
  • Must have own vehicle to travel to different properties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Providing regulatory compliance support to the company’s property management staff in the areas of HUD assisted housing programs, the IRS Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and programs funded through state agencies.
  • Overseeing HUD’s Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) program to ensure on-site staff are in compliance with the program’s requirements including monitoring monthly reports and assisting staff in discrepancy resolution.
