About The Position

Under the direction of the CCO, this role conducts inspections of company operations to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Inspections will be a combination of in-person and virtual. The role supports the Chief Compliance Officer in conducting investigations and providing compliance oversight, support, advice, training, and assistance to local operations within the Priority Ambulance family of companies. This position also ensures the security of company computer systems, buildings, vehicles, equipment, supplies, and property, while maintaining the privacy of company and patient information in accordance with regulations and company policy. The role requires professionalism, leadership, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Must be able to type/keyboard at least 30 WPM.
  • Must have a working knowledge of personal computers.
  • Must be licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Must have a clean driving record as approved by company vehicle liability insurer.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, using good judgment.
  • Must have good project management skills and be able to simultaneously work on multiple projects.
  • Must have training and knowledge on state and federal EMS and related regulations and operations.
  • Must be a currently or previously certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an inspector or auditor in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts inspections of company operations to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Performs in-person and virtual inspections focusing on compliance with State EMS License Regulations, State EMS Certification Regulations, Federal DEA Regulations, State Pharmacy Board Regulations, Federal HIPPA Regulations, Federal Medicare Regulations, Federal Medicaid Regulations, Federal OHSA Safety Regulations, and State OHSA Safety Regulations.
  • Provides the Chief Compliance Officer with summary reports and analysis on every inspection conducted.
  • Supports the Chief Compliance Officer in conducting investigations.
  • Provides compliance oversight, support, advice, training, and assistance to local operations.
  • Ensures the security of all company computer systems by adhering to security procedures and utilizing appropriate passwords policies.
  • Ensures the security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, supplies, systems, and all other company property.
  • Acts at all times with personal safety and the safety of others in mind.
  • Maintains security and privacy of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPPA and all other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains security and privacy of all confidential and proprietary company information in accordance with company policy.
  • Reports to assigned shifts properly groomed and attired and on time unless proper notification has been made.
  • Performs daily inspections of their work area for cleanliness and safety hazards, and performs appropriate housekeeping duties.
  • Sets an example of professionalism and leadership for others to follow.
  • Performs other duties related to safety services as directed.
