About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our Compliance and Private Investment teams. This role offers hands-on experience working with private investment fund data, documents, and regulatory processes within a fast-paced wealth management environment. Over the course of the internship, you will work closely with team members to review and analyze private fund information, helping ensure data accuracy across internal systems while supporting key compliance and reporting initiatives. You’ll gain exposure to how private funds are structured, governed, and monitored, as well as how regulatory requirements are applied in practice. This is a great opportunity for students interested in finance, legal, or compliance careers to develop analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills while contributing to meaningful, real-world projects.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree or law school students
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Resourceful, proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Assist with projects related to private investment funds, including reviewing and analyzing private fund information to accurately update internal records maintained in Excel and other systems
  • Review fund documents (such as partnership agreements and investment offering materials) to identify and summarize key details such as fees, expenses, key dates and timelines, and governance structures
  • Help compile and maintain data across a large portfolio of private funds, ensuring information is accurate, consistent, and easy to access
  • Flag questions or inconsistencies found in documents and stay organized while working across multiple projects
  • Gain exposure to regulatory requirements by helping identify potential filing obligations based on different fund strategies and activities
  • Assist with preparing materials that support compliance reviews, SEC and other regulatory filings, and audits
  • Use Excel and other tools—including AI-based solutions—to help streamline data organization and analysis
  • Learn how virtual data rooms are used in private fund transactions and support related organizational tasks
  • Participate in intern programming including lunch & learns and networking opportunities
