About The Position

Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is seeking a motivated and professional Compliance Department Intern to join our structured internship program. This internship provides hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance, operational controls, and risk management within a casino, racing, and hospitality environment. This structured internship provides practical experience in gaming compliance, cash operations, surveillance coordination, incident management, cybersecurity awareness, and operational auditing while learning how regulatory standards support daily operations across the property. The intern will work closely with compliance leadership and operational departments while participating in a structured development program designed to build analytical, communication, and operational knowledge within the gaming and hospitality industry.

Requirements

  • Pursuing/graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Hospitality, or related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and professionalism
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Interest in compliance, operations, or regulatory environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and race days
  • Must be able to obtain gaming license

  • Microsoft Office or data analysis experience preferred

  • Assist with compliance reviews and operational observations
