About The Position

Compliance isn’t a back-office function at Transitions Hospice — it’s the foundation that allows us to deliver exceptional hospice services with integrity. Our Compliance team works at the intersection of regulation, ethics, and operations, making sure every policy, process, and practice upholds the highest standards of care and accountability. This internship is designed for detail-oriented students with a passion for doing things the right way, offering hands-on experience that goes far beyond filing and shadowing.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Genuine interest in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
High level of integrity and a sharp eye for detail
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of legal and regulatory concepts is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing and updating company policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements
Support compliance audits, monitoring activities, and internal reviews
Conduct research on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to hospice and healthcare
Help track and document compliance activities, findings, and corrective actions
Maintain compliance records and databases with accuracy and strict confidentiality
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and staff training materials
Participate in risk assessments and compliance testing processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required compliance information
Support ethics and compliance awareness initiatives across the organization
