The Compliance and Publication Coordinator provides professional and technical support for the safe operations of the assigned facility and correctional policies and procedures according to the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) philosophy. Designs, develops, and applies principles of strategic planning to ensure compliance with operational standards. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, legal actions, and orders, which requires strong working relationships with partners; provide a broad range of activities, including interpreting applications of laws, regulations, Colorado Code of Penal Discipline (COPD), and Compliance standards. This position serves as the facility policy coordinator and plans, organizes and directs the facility self-inspection program. Responsibilities include monitoring facility policies to ensure adherence to compliance standards, conducting audits of facility operations through analysis and visual inspection to compare practice to facility policy; and preparing results and making recommendations to the administrative head. Collects, compiles, drafts, and analyzes information, collaborates with supervisors and facility management teams, and recommends plans of action to meet compliance standards. Reviews, proposes changes and makes revisions to policy and procedure. Publishes, updates, and distributes policy updates and compliance standards updates on behalf of the administrative head.
