About The Position

Eastern State Hospital (ESH) is hiring a Compliance Analyst to join their team! In this role, you will support the Certification and Accreditation Manager by conducting continuous compliance audits, tracking results, and helping ensure the hospital meets all state and federal regulatory requirements. As a key member of the compliance team, you will analyze data, monitor action plans, and identify opportunities for performance improvement to support ESH’s Joint Commission–deemed CMS accreditation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations OR a comparable combination of graduate education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards including hospital policies, state and federal requirements, Joint Commission expectations, and CMS conditions of participation.
  • Audit and project management expertise with experience applying LEAN principles to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and resolve interpersonal conflicts using a calm, objective, and non-threatening approach.
  • Knowledge of administrative practices including office procedures, business management methods, research techniques, data collection, and professional communication standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly across diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and office technology including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Joint Commission Connect, Safety Culture tools, and standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and phone systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous compliance audits to assess adherence to state, federal, Joint Commission, and CMS-deemed standards.
  • Track and monitor audit results and oversee corrective action plans to ensure timely follow-through.
  • Collect and organize documentation in both paper and electronic formats to support survey and audit activities.
  • Assist the Certification and Accreditation Manager with pre-survey preparation, onsite survey coordination, and post-survey documentation management.
  • Collaborate on compliance data reporting by working with the Data Consultant 3 to prepare audit reports and dashboards.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by partnering with organizational leaders to enhance regulatory education, survey readiness, and accreditation-related strategic goals.
