About The Position

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Gaming Regulatory Division. This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. You must have a high level of integrity in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with the public, vendors, and other employees.

Requirements

  • Exceptional secretarial skills obtained through secondary school or related job experience
  • Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers and postage machines
  • Must have excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work to achieve desired results
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a sensitive manner
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines when necessary
  • Physically capable of sitting for long periods of time
  • Physically capable of remaining on feet or walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • A combination of two years of related work experience and/or education.
  • Must have strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must submit to drug testing and meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Great Plains, Citrix, and Paramount Workplace experience is desired.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act in the capacity of receptionist for the Division Administrative Office
  • Screens incoming guests, incoming phone calls, and coordinate routing to appropriate department
  • Must keep work area and waiting area clean and orderly
  • Provide a full range of administrative support to the various Departments of the Division
  • Organize and maintain files
  • Maintain forms used in daily operations
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including taking minutes as needed
  • Compose professional correspondence
  • Respond to general inquiries
  • Order and maintain general office supplies
  • Manage travel arrangements and expense reports
  • Work on, coordinate, or support special projects as requested
  • Manage complex scheduling requirements
  • Provide orientation for new employees
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Is sensitive to Native American Culture
  • Operates within the parameters of Departmental Policy, Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
