About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Computer Science or Computer Engineering student to join its Back-End Compiler Team as a summer intern. The team constructs and emits high-performance GPU machine instructions for graphics technologies (OpenGL, Vulkan, and DX) and compute technologies (CUDA, PTX, OpenCL, Fortran, and C++). It develops compiler performance and capabilities for NVIDIA’s parallel SIMT architectures. The intern will investigate and develop solutions to challenging problems in the NVIDIA Compiler Back End, working in line with their compiler experience and knowledge. They will work with a mentor as part of the larger OCG team and collaborate with global compiler, hardware, and application teams on improvements and problem resolution. The role is part of work on deep-learning compiler technology spanning architecture design and support through functional languages. The position is a summer 2027 internship. The posting lists an hourly pay range of $20–$71, based on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience. Intern benefits are also offered.
