About The Position

This is a two-year, time-limited position reporting directly to the Project Director. The Competency Assessment Project Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, coordination, and assessment of project activities related to data competency assessments and data-skills training. The position works collaboratively with project team members, trainers, participants, and other stakeholders to coordinate events, communications, marketing, implementation activities, and project deliverables, including a two-day research symposium.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to develop training content and teaching materials that incorporate instructional design concepts.
  • Experience in event planning.
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and complete projects, including maintaining workflows and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with faculty and administrators.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to adapt and work creatively in a complex, rapidly changing academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and contribute to the planning and implementation of events and activities that support data competency assessments.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate data-skills training activities.
  • Recruit, communicate with, and coordinate trainers for project-related training programs.
  • Collaborate with project team members to develop and implement marketing and outreach plans.
  • Track participation, outcomes, and other relevant measures for project events, training, and activities.
  • Support the assessment and evaluation of project activities to inform ongoing planning and improvement.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating logistics for a two-day research symposium.
  • Manage communications with symposium participants, trainers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the project implementation plan.
  • Support the development, coordination, and timely completion of project deliverables.
