The Compensation Consultant serves as a subject matter expert to HR Business Partners and department leaders, presenting findings and recommendations on compensation assessments and pay equity reviews. This role collaborates with Talent Management and HRIS to ensure data integrity and system alignment. Key responsibilities include conducting job evaluations, market pricing, and internal equity analyses, as well as developing and maintaining salary structures, merit matrices, and incentive models. The consultant will support compensation planning cycles, including annual merit and bonus programs, and partner with HR leadership to align performance metrics with compensation outcomes. Additionally, the role provides consultation on performance calibration, goal setting, and rating distributions, analyzes performance data to identify trends and recommend program enhancements, and ensures compensation practices comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. The position also supports audits, internal reviews, and documentation of compensation decisions, contributes to the development of dashboards and KPIs, and participates in cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and enhance employee experience. The consultant must adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
