About The Position

The Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting organizational objectives through the administration of compensation programs and support in key Human Resources projects. Provides support for salary and bonus administration, completing salary surveys, analyzing key metric data, and supports key Human Resources projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Compensation, Human Resources, (or Data Analytics preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning, macros) and comfort working with HRIS/reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interpret and present complex data.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Power BI experience
  • Experience with HRM systems (Reporting, HCM, Recruiting) with prior Workday experience.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly prepares monthly metrics reports, leveraging analytics to offer actionable insights for decision-making and strategy development.
  • Continuous process improvement is a cornerstone of the role, with the analyst evaluating compensation metric workflows and recommending enhancements to streamline reporting and increase data accuracy.
  • Reviews salary recommendations to align and recommend the best path forward for balancing both internal and external alignment.
  • Supports Human Resources key projects, ensuring OxyChem maintains competitive market pay practices and wages that align with business goals.
  • Conducts ad hoc compensation-related analyses as requested by leadership.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and managers to address compensation queries and provide guidance.
  • Creates and maintains job profiles, ensuring roles are accurately documented and updated to reflect organizational changes.
  • Supports data integrity through compensation audits.
  • Participates in annual compensation benchmark surveys that cover both pay and pay practices.
  • Assists with the preparation of communication materials for compensation programs.
  • Providing training and support for managers regarding compensation tools and processes
  • Performs additional duties as requested that support the broader goals of both the compensation team and the Human Resources department.
