About The Position

Stripe is seeking a senior operator and systems thinker to join its Central Strategy and Operations (S&O) team. This senior individual contributor role owns the planning processes, operating rhythms, information architecture, and cross-functional systems that help Stripe’s leadership make better decisions faster. The role focuses on building and improving company operations infrastructure, rather than coordination or program management.

The person in this role will work across senior leaders and partner teams to design, run, and continuously improve the operational systems that connect strategy to execution. They will own outcomes end-to-end, improve how the company operates as it scales, and use automation and scalable systems to reduce manual work and increase organizational leverage.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience, with a significant portion in operational roles at high-growth technology companies, such as product operations, strategy and operations, business operations, or company or corporate planning.
• Track record of building and owning operational systems and measurably improving how a company or large team operates.
• Deep experience with company or functional planning, including annual planning, OKR- or SOKR-style goal-setting, resource allocation, and operating cadence design.
• Systems-thinking and automation-first approach, using tools, data pipelines, and AI-augmented workflows to reduce manual overhead and increase leverage.
• Strong analytical rigor, including comfort owning data and metrics, conducting analyses independently, and pressure-testing assumptions without a dedicated analytics partner.
• Experience working directly with and presenting to C-suite and senior executive stakeholders, and comfort owning the room with an independent perspective.
• High comfort with ambiguity and ability to scope undefined operational problems, design solutions, and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
• Technical proficiency with AI tools to automate workflows as needed.
• Experience applying automation thinking and scalable approaches to operational workflows, including analysis, synthesis, systems, and decision support.
• Prior experience at a technology company.

Nice To Haves

• Background in fintech, management consulting, or investment banking.
• Experience with the product and infrastructure ecosystem at Stripe or similar complex platform businesses.
• Familiarity with modern planning tools, workflow automation platforms, and operational data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute Stripe’s annual planning process and related workstreams, including the frameworks leadership uses to make decisions.
• Continuously improve planning processes, automate manual workflows, and help redesign ways of working.
• Identify manual, repetitive, or fragmented processes and replace them with scalable systems, potentially including structured data pipelines, AI-augmented workflows, and new tooling.
• Help teams drive strategic discussions in leadership forums through thoughtful analysis and operational design.
• Prepare and run leadership-level operating forums, contribute an independent point of view, and own follow-through.
• Identify breakdowns in the company’s operational systems, such as slow decisions, unclear handoffs, or diffuse accountability, and work across teams to address root causes.
• Challenge assumptions and drive operational improvements in partnership with senior leaders.
