Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and TB test (provided by Aptiv)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexible availability, including occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
  • Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
  • Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Residential Counselor, CNA, Behavioral Health Technician, Home Health Aide, or similar human services role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while providing hands-on support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist individuals with personal care, meal preparation, medication support, transportation, household tasks, and daily living activities.
  • Help individuals develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Encourage community involvement, social engagement, and meaningful relationships.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and support health and wellness needs.
  • Complete accurate documentation and electronic case notes.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and person-centered environment.
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to participant needs as necessary.
