About The Position
Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities. This position provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with serious mentally ill.
- Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.
- Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities.
- Teach activities of daily living: housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance.
- Model appropriate interpersonal/vocational skills/behaviors.
- Deal effectively with high stress situations, handle unusual human behavior, resolve conflict.
