About The Position

The Community Support Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for family-centered, community-based programs that promote children's development, school readiness, and family well-being. Leading an interdisciplinary team, the role is responsible for program operations, people leadership, service quality, community partnerships, and integrated service delivery. The Community Support Manager ensures services are trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with organizational priorities, funder expectations, and community needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Registered with the Alberta College Social Workers (ACSW)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Proof of vehicle insurance, registration and 3-year drivers abstract.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in family support, early learning, or community-based services.
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience, including team leadership, coaching, mentorship, and employee development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading interdisciplinary teams and overseeing complex programs, budgets, service quality, risk management, and funder requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of family-centred case management, early childhood development, family systems, trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, privacy, and child and family safety.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with families, schools, community agencies, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, service outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to drive program improvements and support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, database applications, and standard computer systems.
  • Prior to successful employment with e4c, applicants are required to submit a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide values-based leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development to a interdisciplinary Community Support team.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
  • Manage the delivery and continuous improvement of family-centred Community Support services, including intake, case management, coaching, outreach, literacy, and arts-based programming.
  • Ensure services are trauma-informed, strengths-based, culturally responsive, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of children and families.
  • Monitor program quality, service delivery, caseloads, and performance outcomes to support continuous improvement and effective resource utilization.
  • Lead risk management, crisis response, incident reporting, and compliance with organizational policies, legislation, professional standards, and funder requirements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, and service providers to strengthen referrals, service coordination, and community engagement.
  • Manage program budgets, staffing resources, operational planning, and reporting to support program sustainability and accountability.
  • Analyze program data, service outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, mitigate risks, and inform program planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute as a member of the Early Learning Services Management Team, supporting organizational planning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
