About The Position

Mosaic is seeking a Community Relations Manager to lead community relations efforts in Axtell, Nebraska. The manager serves as Mosaic’s face and voice in the local community, building partnerships, sharing stories, engaging faith groups, and cultivating relationships that advance the organization’s mission of empowering people and supporting their voices, meaningful lives, and rights.

The role develops community awareness, oversees volunteer and church relationships, supports donor and grant development, and represents Mosaic at community events. It is a full-time, exempt position with day-based hours and flexibility for events and agency needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar public relations, fundraising, or community relations role.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours to represent Mosaic at community events.
• Knowledge of modern communication principles, social media relations, and promotional strategies.
• Social media management, event coordination, and project management skills.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to Mosaic’s values of belonging, connection, faithfulness, and grit.

Responsibilities

• Develop community awareness plans, build partnerships, and showcase Mosaic’s work.
• Recruit and direct volunteer teams and foster connections across the local faith community.
• Cultivate donor relationships, assist with local fundraising, and collaborate on grant proposals.
• Represent Mosaic at local community events.
• Use social media relations and promotional strategies to support public relations and community engagement.
• Coordinate events and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
