About The Position

The Community Partnership Coordinator is responsible for building and strengthening relationships between the Town, local organizations, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and residents to support community engagement, youth development, prevention initiatives, and overall community wellness. This position serves as a connector between municipal departments and community stakeholders to enhance communication, collaboration, outreach, and access to resources and programs. Under the direction of the Director of Youth Services, the Community Partnership Coordinator develops and supports community-based initiatives, coordinates partnerships and outreach efforts, assists with prevention and wellness programming, and promotes a positive and inclusive community environment through education, collaboration, and strategic engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, social services, communications, community development, education, public health, or a related field.
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of experience in community outreach, partnership development, prevention programming, municipal services, nonprofit coordination, or related work preferred.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and facilitating community programs, events, or initiatives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, residents, staff, and volunteers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, schools, businesses, healthcare providers, nonprofits, law enforcement, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate and support community engagement initiatives, outreach programs, and public awareness campaigns.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of community-based programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Support youth development and prevention initiatives through education, outreach, and collaborative programming.
  • Coordinate community meetings, workshops, trainings, volunteer opportunities, and special events.
  • Promote community wellness initiatives and provide residents with information regarding available resources and services.
  • Collaborate with local and regional agencies to identify community needs and opportunities for partnerships and funding.
  • Assist in developing communication materials including newsletters, flyers, social media content, website updates, and public information campaigns.
  • Coordinate outreach and educational efforts related to substance misuse prevention, mental health awareness, youth engagement, and community wellness.
  • Support data collection, surveys, evaluations, and reporting efforts to measure program effectiveness and community impact.
  • Assist with grant research, grant applications, reporting requirements, and sustainability planning.
  • Represent the Town and department at local, regional, and statewide meetings, committees, and collaborative groups.
  • Maintain and update community partnership databases, outreach records, and program documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with Town departments to enhance communication and coordination of services and events.
  • Assist in identifying emerging community trends, concerns, and opportunities to improve resident engagement and support services.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and community activities as approved by the Director.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Town and community stakeholders to support collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
