About The Position

Greater IMPACT Church is seeking a compassionate, well-networked, and organized Community Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to build meaningful relationships with local non-profits, civic leaders, schools, and service organizations across Reading, PA. This role serves as the primary liaison to the civic and non-profit community in Greater Reading, spearheading "love our city" initiatives by identifying community needs, building bridges with established local organizations, and mobilizing the church family to serve through tangible acts of generosity and compassion. Working in close collaboration with the Operations Pastor, Executive Pastor, and the Campus Location & Community Presence Coordinator, you will coordinate hands-on outreach projects, service days, and community initiatives that make a lasting local difference.

Requirements

• Must reside within 10 miles of Reading, PA to facilitate local partner meetings, site visits, and hands-on service projects in the community.
• A deep burden and love for the people of Greater Reading, with a desire to meet practical, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills; warm, professional, and comfortable reaching out to community leaders, organizational directors, and civic representatives.
• Excellent at managing event logistics, tracking outreach contacts, and coordinating details from planning through completion.
• Enjoys serving alongside church staff and volunteer leaders, maintaining humble servant leadership and clear communication.
• A living relationship with Jesus Christ, personal integrity, and alignment with the mission, vision, and core values of Greater IMPACT Church.
• Ability to commit approximately 4–6 flexible hours per week on a hybrid schedule (combining daytime/weekend partner meetings and projects with flexible remote coordination).

Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with reputable non-profits, shelters, food banks, community centers, schools, and city initiatives in Reading and Berks County.
• Meet with local directors, volunteer coordinators, and community organizers to understand their greatest needs and explore how Greater IMPACT Church can support their mission.
• Establish ongoing volunteer partnerships and seasonal service opportunities (e.g., food packaging, homeless outreach, community cleanups, school supply drives).
• Plan, organize, and execute local community service days, donation drives, and holiday outreaches (e.g., Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas toy drives, back-to-school drives).
• Work alongside the Campus Location & Community Presence Coordinator to integrate practical service elements (e.g., free hygiene kits, hydration stations, resource guides) into park pop-up campaigns.
• Coordinate collection, inventory, and distribution of donated supplies and resources.
• Partner with the Volunteer Onboarding Coordinator to invite church volunteers into service projects, ensuring team members have clear logistical instructions, safety guidelines, and serving roles.
• Serve as the on-site point person during outreach events, greeting volunteers, directing setup, and ensuring high-quality, hospitable engagement with community partners and recipients.
• Capture photos, participant quotes, and metrics (e.g., pounds of food distributed, families served) to share with church leadership and the communications team.
