About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Community Outreach Consultant for Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. This is an onsite position. The consultant develops and manages community outreach strategies, initiatives, and events aligned with IU Health’s community outreach priorities and the identified needs of local communities. The role coordinates and collaborates on internal and external community initiatives and team member volunteer programs; identifies best practices; implements programs with hospital partners and community organizations; and reports on program impact. The consultant also trains team members on system measures, metrics, processes, and reporting, develops strategy and business processes, and manages multiple initiatives. The position reports to the Director-Community Health and has no direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 5–7 years of experience.
• Ability to work in a complex business environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience managing program or event logistics.
• Experience designing and facilitating adult training and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with underserved and/or high-risk populations at a macro level.
