About The Position

The Community Outreach Consultant develops and manages community outreach strategies, initiatives, and events aligned with IU Health’s priorities and the identified needs of local communities. The role coordinates and collaborates on internal and external community initiatives and team member volunteer programs; identifies best practices; implements programs with hospital partners and community organizations; and reports on program impact. The consultant trains team members on system measures and metrics, processes, and reporting, develops strategy and business processes, and manages multiple initiatives. This is an onsite position based in Muncie, Indiana, at Ball Memorial Hospital. The position reports to the Director-Community Health and has no direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 5–7 years of experience.
• Ability to work in a complex business environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience designing and facilitating adult training and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with underserved and/or high-risk populations at a macro level.

• Experience managing program and event logistics.
