About The Position

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed-use real estate investments through acquisition, development, construction, and property management. The company is seeking a Community Manager for The Reserve at Patterson Place, a 345-unit, Class A midrise centrally located in Southwest Durham, North Carolina. The role’s primary objective is to supervise all phases of on-site operations, including hiring, managing job performance, and training on-site staff. This is an in-office position in an environment typical of a business office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of multifamily property management experience in a managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

• Motivate staff.
• Manage hiring and, when necessary, termination of on-site staff.
• Determine transitions and promotions for on-site staff.
• Handle emergency situations.
• Develop and implement strategies and programs designed to ensure long-term residency.
• Oversee revenue collection and handle delinquent accounts.
• Perform regular inspections of the apartment community.
• Handle evictions and landlord liens.
• Adhere to and implement company policies.
• Audit lease files.
• Implement scheduled rent increases.
• Oversee payment of invoices.
• Assist in budget preparation.
• Monitor the parking lot for unauthorized vehicles.
