About The Position
Community Interface Services is seeking a compassionate and flexible individual to work alongside individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and support them in building independence within their communities. This is a dynamic, 100% community-based career focused on empowering individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Possess exceptional customer service skills, resourcefulness, and teaching skills.
- Must have a car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, and a valid CA driver's license.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
- High school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with the I/DD community is a plus.
- Compassionate, resourceful, and people-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Meet with participants in a 1-to-1 ratio to provide resources or coaching to help them reach their goals.
- Traverse the community through public transportation.
- Support individuals in finding social, recreational, or volunteer opportunities.
- Provide higher education support.
- Document progress of each individual and provide input to further their independence.
- Work with the larger team to identify next steps for the program.
