About The Position

Community Interface Services is seeking a compassionate and flexible individual to work alongside individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and support them in building independence within their communities. This is a dynamic, 100% community-based career focused on empowering individuals with disabilities. To be successful, you'll need exceptional customer service skills, resourcefulness, and teaching skills.

Requirements

• A car in safe working order
• Vehicle insurance
• A valid CA driver's license
• At least 2 years of driving experience
• A high school diploma

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with the I/DD community

Responsibilities

• Meet with each person in a 1-to-1 ratio and provide resources or coaching to help them reach their goals.
• Traverse the community through public transportation.
• Support the individual in finding social, recreational, or volunteer opportunities.
• Provide higher education support.
• Document progress of each individual that you work with and provide input to further their independence.
• Work with the larger team to identify next steps for the program.
