About The Position

This position is limited to current Maryland State employees only. The main purpose of this position is to provide supervisory-level oversight for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the Family Health Program at the Carroll County Health Department. This position will supervise the communicable disease, infants and toddlers, lead surveillance, perinatal hepatitis B, child fatality review and perinatal care coordination program areas.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse.
  • One year of additional experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring automobile operation).
  • Provide a telephone number at which they can be reached.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (writing and speaking).
  • Experience working in maternal and child health or a similar specialty area.
  • Experience with reportable conditions and communicable disease activities.
  • Experience with perinatal care coordination.
  • Experience with lead case management.
