About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to provide supervisory oversight for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the AERS (Assessments, Evaluation and Review Services) and CFC (Community First Choice) programs. This position will plan, develop, implement and evaluate the AERS and CFC programs in compliance with local, federal and state regulations, policies, procedures and guidance. This position will provide direct supervision to assigned staff to ensure the quality and productivity of service delivery, including orientation and training through meetings, direct observation, audits, performance evaluations and, if needed, the disciplinary process. This position will also lead program budget planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring activities, including the completion of required reports, collection, review and analysis of data and site reviews in accordance with State conditions of award and local health department guidance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse.
  • One year of additional experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring automobile operation).
  • Must provide a telephone number at which they can be reached.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Assessment, Evaluation and Review Services (AERS).
  • Experience with Nurse Monitoring or Community First Choice (CFC) services.
  • Experience with home visiting in a nursing capacity.
  • Experience working with patients who have complex care needs across all age groups.

Responsibilities
