Requirements

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Nice To Haves

• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze community data to identify public health needs and available resources
• Link programs with partners and support activities that strengthen local public health efforts
• Track health programs and use surveillance systems to improve outcomes for assigned populations
• Develop and deliver public health education on a wide range of topics
• Provide outreach and support services to individuals and targeted groups to promote safety and wellness
• Conduct investigations of reportable diseases and coordinate prevention and control measures
