About The Position
The main purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to patients in local health department clinics and community settings at the full performance level. This position will provide nursing support to the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program (BCCP), Cigarette Restitution Fund (CRF) Program, Cancer Prevention, Education, Screening and Treatment (CPEST) Program, and the Maryland Cancer Fund (MCF). This position may also be assigned to provide clinical and/or program support to other Nursing Bureau programs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
- Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle).
- Provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Experience working with Maryland Department of Health cancer programs.
- Experience working as a Community Health Nurse.
- Experience with case management or care coordination.
