About The Position

The Community Health Coordinator requires a skilled and high-functioning professional responsible for managing Augusta Health’s community partnership initiatives, including oversight of the Community Benefit Endowment external grants, scholarships, and sponsorship processes, working with community partners to implement community building solutions to address the root causes of social determinants of health in our local community, and assist the Community Partnership Committee and its respective subcommittees. The Community Health Coordinator must be able to exercise sound judgment and discretion and demonstrate a high level of organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • Experience as a grant writer, monitor, evaluator and/or performance reporter
  • Successful track record of executing grant programming
  • Possess excellent professional and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, understandable manner
  • Maintain professionalism in high stress situations
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional attention to detail, problem solving and independent decision-making
  • Exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative, especially when handling confidential or protected information
  • Work collaboratively and interact courteously and tactfully with a diverse array of stakeholders, including staff at all levels of the organization, community members, Board Members and leaders in the community
  • Assume responsibility for decisions and results, and ability to take constructive feedback and put the feedback into actionable improvement
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in grant and software management software platforms
  • Strong collaborative and partnership building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Public Health or related field
  • Understanding of root causes of social determinants of health
