Metro State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, occasionally needs community (adjunct) faculty to teach courses that cannot be staffed by regular faculty or graduate students. These positions are temporary and part-time, and are within the Department of Writing, Literature, and Language. Faculty members are expected to demonstrate the ability to teach academic writing courses effectively at the undergraduate level. Outstanding candidates should show a commitment to serving a culturally diverse student body through delivering a student-centered education in a liberal arts context and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals. The filling of this position is dependent upon budget and is covered by the collective bargaining agreement for the Inter Faculty Organization (IFO).
