About The Position

This is a fantastic part-time position for individuals interested in working in the health care or social work fields, specifically in Dekalb, IN. The role involves working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their family homes and out in the community. The company welcomes current or former Caregivers, CNAs, and DSPs, as well as caring individuals without previous formal experience, and promotes from within. Community engagement staff may work up to 10-hour shifts, scheduled any day of the week, and may work with multiple families, requiring driving between homes. Tasks vary based on the services families qualify for, including Respite, PAC, DHI, and Transportation services. Requirements

• 18 years+
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Compassionate
• Reliable
• Can work independently

• Previous Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their family homes and out in the community
• Assist clients with light house cleaning
• Prep meals for clients
• Go out into the community for activities with clients
• Teach life skills to clients
• Potentially help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and other hygiene tasks
