The Director, Community Engagement is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the League’s community outreach initiatives and will work directly with the Sr. Vice President of Community Engagement to develop strategic initiatives designed to increase visibility of the League, clubs and players, while positioning MLS as a leader in the space. This role will serve as the operational leader of the department, providing direction and accountability to ensure there’s integration across the business and consistent execution of community initiatives at a high level. While leading the execution of Community initiatives intended to extend the MLS brand and attract new fans, the Director will also serve as the primary liaison with all 30 MLS clubs to further engage our existing community in authentic and compelling ways. The ideal candidate should have proven leadership experience in managing integrated marketing initiatives (digital, experiential and cause related programs), strong executional and project management skills, possess creative thinking to add value in program concepting, the ability to provide innovative solutions and work collaboratively and cross-functionally within an organization.
