About The Position

People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a creative and community-focused Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen and engage their community. This role involves using communication skills and creativity to spotlight extraordinary people, coordinate events, and build meaningful connections. The coordinator will manage PCS' digital media presence, document and highlight community events and services, promote internal culture and morale, create compelling content and campaigns, and assist with outreach and satisfaction surveys. The ideal candidate has a people-oriented mindset, strong digital marketing and social media management skills, excellent writing and communication abilities, and a genuine interest in social impact and inclusion for people with disabilities. The role requires travel across the region and reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • Compassionate with a people-oriented mindset.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong experience with digital marketing, social media management, and/or community outreach.
  • Excellent writing, communication and design sensibility.
  • A genuine interest in social impact, inclusion and advocacy for people with disabilities.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and ready to travel to events throughout the region.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • A relevant degree is a plus but not required.
  • Portfolio or links to past marketing campaigns not required but a plus.
  • Familiarity with HCBA, regional centers, or social services (a plus but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Manage PCS’ social media accounts, website content, and online reputation.
  • Attend and document community events, highlighting services, staff members, and participants, and celebrating the community.
  • Promote internal culture, uplift morale through internal marketing, staff engagement, and person-centered messaging.
  • Create compelling content and campaigns that engage regional centers, community partners, and the broader public.
  • Assist with HCBA-related outreach and satisfaction surveys to ensure alignment with person-centered values.
