Mansfield Hall is a living and learning community for neurodivergent college students who are capable of college but are not yet fully ready for total independence. Its work is organized around Living (independent living skills), Learning (academic and executive functioning), Giving (community involvement), and Engaging (social and emotional growth). Coaches help make these areas happen through everyday support in the moment, rather than in a classroom. The Community Engagement Coach provides direct coaching and support to residential students as they navigate daily schedules, community expectations, social situations, and individual goals. The role includes helping students follow routines in their Student MAPs, building professional relationships with encouragement and accountability, responding to well-being concerns, facilitating social interactions and extracurricular activities, documenting progress, managing the on-call staff phone during shifts, and helping with meals and shared spaces.
