The Community Disabilities Practitioner role is a full-time position with day hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role involves understanding and adhering to all Robin Hood Association (RHA) policies, procedures, and standards, including those related to mission statements, ethical standards, restrictive procedures, abuse and medical protocols, Alberta Accommodation Standards, Alberta Health Services standards, Municipal Fire Standards, Occupational Health & Safety standards, and Creating Excellence Together (CET) Standards and Accreditation. The practitioner is expected to maintain professional conduct, promote safe environments, and possess a minimal standard level of physical capability to ensure the safety of themselves and the individuals receiving service. Employees may be required to work in any program area during staffing shortages or emergencies. The role also involves implementing Individualized Service Plans, supporting individuals in community participation, assisting with basic living skills, providing transportation, and ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals. Additionally, the role may involve instructing, conducting program evaluations, maintaining records, participating in the hiring process, and supervising staff, practicum students, and volunteers.
