About The Position

Our Community Day Support (CDS) program offers one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities. CDS clients participate in a lot of fun activities throughout the community. Swimming, ice skating, bicycling, art, music, dance and cooking are just some of the great things you and your clients will get to do together. CDS is currently seeking to help support clients out in the community to have fun and enjoy all that their community has to offer! Requirements

  • A minimum of five years experience in service provision to individuals with disabilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license, a driving record that meets agency standards, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing consumer day program activities.
  • Working with consumers to develop and document ISP goals.
  • Carrying the CDS emergency cell phone and covering direct service vacancies.
  • Hiring and supervising direct support staff, train new direct service staff as assigned.
  • Performing administrative duties and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to include, but not limited to: developing and implementing Day Program activities for consumers, filing of documents, and documenting trends.
  • Personal and intimate care (toileting).
  • Wheelchair lifts and transfers.
  • Work effectively with other EBI staff, representatives from other agencies and members from the community.
  • Work effectively with significant persons in each consumer’s life (i.e., family members, friends, significant others).
  • Provide on-call support and fill shifts as needed.
