About The Position

The Community Crisis Stabilization programs provide both short and long-term care for persons experiencing mental health, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorders who might otherwise require treatment in an inpatient setting and would benefit from structured stabilization, support, care coordination, and treatment planning. Working as part of a team in this acute care residence, staff will provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living. Interactions between staff and consumers will be guided by an appreciation for those being served as unique individuals and adults, with the expectation and goal of crisis or situational stabilization.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and regular access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to communicate in and comprehend the English language
• Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with one years’ experience or High School Diploma and three years related experience

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to consumers.
• Assist consumers in maintaining their physical and emotional health.
• Support consumers in living safely in the community.
• Help consumers develop skills necessary to return to independent living.
• Engage with consumers with an appreciation for them as unique individuals and adults.
• Work towards crisis or situational stabilization for consumers.
• Clearly document consumer progress and activities in program records.
