About The Position

People Creating Success is hiring a Community Based Support Professional, described in the posting as a F.A.D.E. Associate, to support adults with developmental disabilities in community-based day services in Santa Barbara and Goleta. The role helps participants engage in their communities, increase access to the workforce, pursue person-centered goals, and build independent living skills. The work includes supporting volunteering and event attendance, encouraging physical activity and meaningful activities, and providing a dependable, positive presence in participants’ daily lives. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at $20.25 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• A compassionate, people-oriented mindset.
• Responsibility and ability to assist with tracking progress toward goals.
• CPR and First Aid certification; training will be provided if the candidate is not certified or needs recertification.

Responsibilities

• Support participants in volunteering, attending events, and exploring their community.
• Encourage and model independent living skills.
• Assist participants in meeting their goals through person-centered planning.
• Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful, enjoyable activities.
• Provide a dependable, positive impact in participants’ day-to-day lives.
• Support individuals through heightened emotional responses, complex behaviors, and sensory overload using proactive redirection and calming techniques.
• Recognize early signs of stress or escalation and guide individuals through personalized self-regulation strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed shift logs and progress notes.
