About The Position

People Creating Success is hiring a Community Based Support Professional / F.A.D.E. Associate to support adults with developmental disabilities in community-based day services in Oxnard, Ventura, Conejo Valley, and surrounding areas. The role helps participants take part in their communities, increase workforce accessibility, and pursue personal goals through person-centered support. This is a part-time position offering flexible shifts of 15–35 hours per week at $20.60 per hour, with mileage reimbursement and a $10 monthly cell phone stipend.

The position involves supporting participants with community activities, volunteering, independent living skills, physical activity, and meaningful recreation. Staff are expected to support behavior and emotional regulation, track progress toward goals, and maintain accurate shift documentation. CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Compassionate, people-oriented approach.
• Curiosity and interest in connecting with others and supporting community endeavors.
• Responsible approach to assisting with goal progress tracking.
• CPR and First Aid certification; training will be provided if not certified or recertification is needed.

Responsibilities

• Support participants in volunteering, attending events, and exploring their community.
• Encourage and model independent living skills.
• Help participants meet their goals through person-centered planning.
• Encourage participants to be physically active and take part in meaningful, enjoyable activities.
• Provide dependable, positive support in participants’ day-to-day lives.
• Support individuals through heightened emotional responses, complex behaviors, and sensory overload using proactive redirection and calming techniques.
• Recognize early signs of stress or escalation and guide individuals through personalized self-regulation strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed shift logs and progress notes.
• Assist with tracking progress toward participant goals.
